Welcome to The Faison Center

The Faison Center gives children and adults with autism and related challenges the best opportunity to live rich and fulfilling lives. Autism affects more children than childhood cancers, cystic fibrosis and multiple sclerosis combined. The Faison Center’s unique lifespan model provides Central Virginia with its primary source of world class services for those with autism and their families. From early intervention to adult care, we are committed to improving the lives of the individuals we serve.

The Faison School And The Peninsula School

  • Serving children aged 5-16 in four school-based programs.

  • Life Skills and Employment Academy for young adults aged 16-22.


The Behavioral Health Clinic

  • Comprehensive Assessment and Diagnostic Services.

  • Early Education Program.

  • After School Program.


Adult and Residential Services

  • Community-based Adult Day Program.

  • The Faison Residence (managed residential units for up to 24 adults with autism).

  • Approved family partner (sponsored residential) homes.

The Faison School is accredited by CABAS® and VAISEF, whose accreditation process has been approved by the Virginia Council for Private Education as authorized by the Virginia State Board of Education. The School is licensed by the Virginia Department of Education. The Behavioral Health Clinic and Adult and Residential Services are licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
