Special Events

Because the health and safety of our community is of utmost importance, The Faison Center has made the decision to postpone all of our spring events. Action for Autism will now be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 and The Peninsula School Annual Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020. We look forward to when we can look back on this crisis in the rearview mirror, and hope you will all join us at these events to celebrate and support our community.

If you have any questions about these events please use the contact information for each event below.

Action for Autism Gala

The Art for Autism Gala has been The Faison Center's signature event and was one of the area's most high profile fundraising functions. Since 2001 the Art for Autism Gala has raised millions of dollars necessary to support the programs at The Faison Center. Over the years the Gala has expanded beyond art and after our 20th anniversary, we decided it was time to have a new Gala theme. For 2020 we are excited to announce our first annual Action for Autism Gala which will be hosted in our brand new event space, The Flo and Tony Guzman Community Center. This event will still have our well-known live auction featuring world-class art as well as exceptional travel experiences. Reynolds Gallery, a valued partner, curates our art offerings from locally and nationally recognized artists and collectors.

Our 1st annual Action for Autism Gala will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2020. This is a fun night where our guests enjoy cocktails, delicious food, and a silent and live auction.

Endless Summer

The Endless Summer Party is hosted by the Junior Board of The Faison Center and all funds raised go directly to support the life-span of services that Faison provides for individuals with autism and related challenges.  Faison is proud to offer services for children as young as 16 months through adulthood.  Over the last year, we have expanded our services in Richmond and in Newport News. We now serve children from 36 jurisdictions. With one in 59 children now diagnosed on the spectrum, the need for Faison's service continues to grow.
